Nutrition is, of course, a very important part of our retreat. Our chef, Philipp Gandler, trained under some of the finest chefs in the German-speaking world and has successfully run a number of restaurants himself. Without exception, the cuisine he prepares is vegetarian or vegan, and he only uses local fruit and vegetables from Ibiza’s organic farmers. The basic foodstuffs are enhanced with seasonal herbs and vegetables from the retreat’s own garden.
All of the water used for cooking and drinking is obtained from precipitation and has been put through a reverse osmosis filter.
Talented Austrian chef Philipp Gandler has trained with some of the best chefs in the German speaking world, including highly acclaimed Alfons Schubeck. Philipp Gandler has 2 chef’s toques and a Slow Food Snail for his exceptional culinary skills. He prepares a mouth-watering organic vegetarian and vegan cuisine. His beautifully presented dishes are exceptional in taste with a high nutritional content. The food is locally sourced, organic and individually prepared according to the specific diet plan of each guest.
All meals are served in the breath-taking surroundings of the retreat’s intensely lush and green gardens, carefully created to support Rosa’s healing yoga and meditation philosophy. It completes the experience in a healthy and delicious way and serves emotional and physical well-being. Brunch is a feast with fresh eggs from Rosa’s own hens. Meals are prepared with locally grown fruit, vegetables, herbs (some from Rosa Yoga’s own gardens) and organic ingredients. The green smoothies and the 3 course dinner are to die for!
